A children and family friendly version of Smash and Stab by Colin Rose! All of the excitement but none of the gory danger! Four wooden bases are introduced to your audience. One of which has an egg cup holding a real egg. All four bases are covered with Styrofoam cups and thoroughly mixed around so that nobody knows which one holds the egg. As this is happening the performer has his/her back turned the entire time. When the performer turns back he introduces a big wooden mallet. He continues to bash each cup and one after the other they prove to be the safe cups containing no egg. For the third, anticipation is high and everybody holds their breath for the moment. The mallet goes down and BASH! Astonishingly it is also the safe cup which leaves the final fourth cup with the egg thus saving everybody from the messy splash of eggy goop!
