The ‘Hoffman’ “Obedient Ball” is understood to be of Japanese Origin and is sometimes known as “The Japanese Ball”. The rope is shown to pass through the ball and the ball is seen to run loosely up and down the rope. Now the Magician explains that he is able to make the Ball defy the Laws of Gravity and will at his instruction be suspended on the rope and will remain stationary until released by his command a further demonstration can be given by allowing a Spectator the opportunity to repeat the sequence but of course it is only ‘The Magician’ who is able to accomplish this amazing miracle.
