A borrowed hanky and a piece of paper is placed between two plastic plates. The plates have a hole going through them and a plastic stick (can be replaced with an ordinary pen) is thrust through the hanky and paper. When the hanky and paper are removed from between the plates, it is seen that the paper has a hole in it but the hanky is SOLID!
