Six ESP cards, a blank sheet of paper and 3 matchboxes are shown. The performer asks the spectator to think of one of these 6 ESP cards and while the performer's back is turned, he is to write down the name of his ESP card on the sheet of paper and then fold the paper in quarters. He then empties one of these 3 matchboxes and hides his paper inside.

The performer explains to him that everything happens while his back is turned, however the performer can immediately know which matchbox contains the paper. He then asks the spectator to remove the paper and the performer can also quickly divine his thought of ESP card.
