The magician holds in his hand a long thin wooden key holder. The key chain is threaded through a hole in the middle of the holder and the chain is then pulled through the hole. The magician then visibly moves the "hole" to the end of the holder at which time the chain can once again be pulled completely through the hole, proving the hole to be real. Then once again the hole is moved to the middle.
